ProMat 2025 – It’s a Wrap!

ProMat 2025 just wrapped up last week at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. This year’s show saw a historic turnout, registering 52,223 attendees from around the globe, including representatives from 143 different countries. The event featured 1,160 exhibitors showcasing technology and solutions spread across 659,000 net square feet of expo space. The breadth of technology on display by the industry leaders in supply chain solutions makes this a one stop shop for those looking to thrive in a dynamic marketplace and develop the resilient supply chains of the future.

ProMat 2025 Kickoff - Exec Leadership:

Showcased Technology

  1. Automation and Robotics: Automation tools and robotics designed to integrate seamlessly with traditional material handling systems streamlining operations and reducing labor costs were prominently featured. This included automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and collaborative robots or “cobots” which facilitate the movement of materials and goods within warehouses and manufacturing facilities.

  2. Artificial Intelligence Solutions: AI technologies were a significant focus, with applications in predictive analytics, AI agents, inventory management, and demand forecasting. These AI-driven systems are helping companies make more informed decisions and giving workers the ability to access information at their fingertips, improving operational efficiency and responsiveness to supply chain fluctuations.

  3. Enhanced Data Analytics: Showcased technologies included advanced analytics platforms capable of real-time data processing and visualization. These tools offer valuable insights into supply chain performance and worker productivity, helping organizations identify bottlenecks and optimize processes dynamically.

  4. End-to-End Solutions: Manufacturers and solution providers are increasingly focusing on creating integrated capabilities to offer comprehensive solutions rather than isolated point solutions. This simplifies solution management with fewer vendors and a single point of contact that can manage an entire solution.

  5. RFID Technology: Despite slow adoption, a resurgence in RFID technology is being driven by major retailers and parcel delivery companies, which are investing in its capabilities to enhance inventory tracking and returns management.

ProMat 2025 - AI and Data Analytics in the Workforce:
