Overview
Der General Aerospace Näherungssensor (GAPS-Serie) bietet einen Ein-/Aus-Ausgang und kann für das Host-System mit einer optionalen Zustandsüberwachung konfiguriert werden. Die von Honeywell in der GAPS-Serie verwendete Technologie gilt als eine Verbesserung zur herkömmlichen Wirbelstromprinzip-Struktur (ECKO), die bisher bei Luftfahrtanwendungen der Standard war.
Die GAPS-Serien helfen aufgrund des einmaligen Schaltkreises, der interne Fehler erkennen und dabei einen Fehlerausgang anstelle eines falsch positiven oder falsch negativen anzeigt, Ausfallzeiten und Wartungskosten senken kann.
