- The Software Path to Fulfillment Success
The Software Path to Fulfillment Success
For e-commerce and omnichannel retailers, effective inventory management is essential for running successful distribution and fulfillment (D&F) operations. Inventory inaccuracies can lead to a variety of issues that disrupt order fulfillment processes, impact customer service levels, and ultimately erode profit margins.
Warehouse management systems (WMS) have become integral for offsetting these common inventory pitfalls. In a typical distribution center (DC), a WMS connects to a host system —such as an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and/or an order management system (OMS) — to initiate key inventory management and order fulfillment workflows. But when searching for a WMS, retailers often struggle to find a solution that aligns with their unique workflows, processes, and business goals.
To alleviate these common WMS challenges, Honeywell Intelligrated has introduced its Momentum WMS software. This highly configurable WMS allows you to select from more than 500 parameters to precisely configure its functionalities to your specific warehouse workflows — without overinvesting in excess capabilities or incurring the expenses of custom software coding.
From inbound receipt and order fulfillment processing to replenishment and outbound distribution, Momentum WMS seamlessly integrates into a variety of workflows and key warehouse functions:
- Enterprise resource planning (ERP) and/or host system integration
- Inventory receiving and replenishment
- Real-time inventory tracking
- Order fulfillment
