Overview
The Honeywell Xenon™ Extreme Performance (XP) 1952h-bf area-imaging scanner incorporates the latest in battery-free technology. It’s capable of achieving a full charge in under 60 seconds, putting the power of accurate patient care back in the caregiver's hands. You'll have the freedom of Bluetooth® wireless technology without the maintenance hassles or long recharge time associated with traditional batteries.
- When fully charged, the scanner can typically scan over 450 UPC/EAN codes without the need for recharging. The scanner is useable in less than 20 seconds.
- Supercapacitors hold their charge for hours when fully charged. So clinicians who forget to place their scanner in the charger prior to break won’t impact operations upon return.
- Two independently configurable recharge alerts remind clinicians to place the scanner back into the base for charging, ensuring continuous operation.
- The Xenon XP 1952h-bf scanner is fully charged in under 60 seconds when a powered USB or external power supply is used and under two minutes with a simple USB connection.
- When the scanner is placed in the base, the ready-to-scan LED typically flashes in less than 20 seconds to notify the clinician that there is sufficient power to support over 100 scans.
- Patient care and safety are your top priorities. The Xenon XP 1952h-bf healthcare scanner helps you make every second count. This Bluetooth wireless scanner offers you fast, accurate barcode scanning – even on poor-quality or damaged barcodes – without the long recharge time, expense, and environmental impact of a battery. Traditional cordless scanners are powered by batteries that can take hours to fully recharge. The Xenon XP 1952h-bf scanner is different. It runs on supercapacitors, small devices inside the scanner that store electrical energy. These supercapacitors can achieve a full charge in under 60 seconds when using a powered USB port, an external electrical outlet adapter, or a base station connected to an external power supply. In addition to recharging in just seconds, the Xenon XP healthcare scanner provides hours of service – typically at least 450 scans without recharging. This makes it ideal for your clinician scanning applications at the bedside, such as administering medicine or collecting specimens. You’ll also be able to minimize problems associated with dead batteries, like manual overrides and unnecessary IT support calls. And because the Xenon XP 1952h-bf scanner is battery-free, it’s lighter and more environmentally friendly. It also eliminates the maintenance hassles and ongoing expense common to battery-powered scanners.
