Engineered for Challenging DPM Environments
Manufacturing environments often present scanning challenges such as low contrast marks, curved or reflective surfaces, complex backgrounds, and high-density codes. Advanced decoding algorithms provide faster response times and improved read reliability on poor-quality and difficult DPM barcodes, helping maintain productivity where traditional scanners struggle.
To further optimize performance on challenging surfaces, Xenon DPM incorporates a dual illumination system that comes in white and diffused blue illumination. This illumination strategy is tuned for DPM use cases, improving readability on tightly curved, metallic, and reflective parts commonly found in manufacturing workflows.
High Density Scanning for Small, Complex Codes
As components become smaller and more densely marked, barcode resolution requirements continue to increase. Xenon DPM addresses this trend with a core focus on high density scanning, offering HD (High Definition) and UD (Ultra Definition) variants. Both configurations are capable of decoding 1D and 2D barcodes down to 2 mil resolution, enabling precise tracking of even the smallest components throughout the production process.
This capability makes Xenon DPM well suited for applications such as printed circuit board (PCB) tracking, electronic component traceability, and automotive part identification, where space constraints demand extremely small and densely packed codes.
One Scanner for Labels and DPM Codes
Unlike solutions that require separate devices for label and DPM scanning, Xenon DPM is designed to handle both conventional printed barcodes and direct part marks with consistent performance. This versatility allows users to standardize on a single scanner across multiple workflows, reducing device complexity while improving operational efficiency.
A Homage to the Xenon Ultra, Optimized for DPM
Xenon DPM takes the aesthetics of the Xenon Ultra design, offering a familiar user experience while incorporating targeted enhancements for DPM applications. The scanner is modified specifically for manufacturing use cases, balancing ergonomics, performance, and flexibility for scalable deployment in mission critical environments.
Xenon DPM is available in corded and cordless models and is compatible with corded Xenon Ultra cables and stands. By combining advanced DPM decoding, dual illumination, and high density scanning capability, Xenon DPM supports reliable data capture in environments where accuracy, speed, and consistency are critical to operational success.
