The Honeywell Smart Flexible Depalletizer

Smart Flex Depal

  • 50% increase in productivity
  • Lifts up to 80 lbs
  • 617 cartons per hour
  • 650 cartons per hour (robot max)

The Honeywell SmartFlexible Depalletizer uses advanced machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) to handle mixed-SKU or single-SKU pallets continuously without pre-programming or operator intervention. This fully automated solution increases depalletizing rates and frees up labor from repetitive tasks. Its intuitive user interface (UI) requires minimal training, simplifying management and lowering logistics costs by improving team scheduling and resource visibility.

Flexible configurations and a range of automation options allow seamless integration into existing workflows. The robot can work with pallet conveyance autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for maximum flexibility in a small footprint, enabling continuous operation and versatile pallet staging.

Honeywell Intelligrated offers this depalletizer as a turnkey system, including safety risk assessments and alternative financing options to reduce capital expenses and control costs.

Transport

Autonomous Mobile Robots
Autonomous Mobile Robots

Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs)

One of the key benefits of AMRs is their ability to navigate independently without relying on predefined paths or external guidance systems.

AMRs use cameras, advanced sensors, and machine learning, for path planning. Utilizing the cameras and sensors, AMRS can detect obstacles  and use collision avoidance techniques to adjust their path and continue their tasks.

  • Pallet conveyance — AMRs can be loaded or unloaded directly with a forklift or work independently via pick-up and delivery (P&D) stands.
  • Pallet conveyance via autonomous forklift — Pallets can be moved autonomously between floor and/or P&D stand transfer locations.
  • Picking and cart transport — Mobile robots can provide significant productivity benefits by automating the movement of carts used to transport picked orders, returns or kits.
  • Automated machine tending — AMRs with in-line conveyor or custom attachments can be used to transport parts and goods between manufacturing equipment, take goods/pallets from or to palletizers and depalletizers, replenish automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS), or provide a flexible “bridge” between different conveyor systems.

AMRs

Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)

Autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) can be inserted into your operation with minimal infrastructural changes. No tape, markers or wires are needed, and the robots require only a short set-up period to learn their surroundings. These self-navigating robots work independently and are smart enough to interact safely with human co-workers and other vehicles, find a different route if their original path is blocked, and respond to rapid changes in orders or logistics needs — all without human intervention. Multiple top-mounted attachments enable the robots to perform various applications, including:

  • Pallet conveyance — AMRs can be loaded or unloaded directly with a forklift or work independently via pick-up and delivery (P&D) stands.
  • Pallet conveyance via autonomous forklift — Pallets can be moved autonomously between floor and/or P&D stand transfer locations.
