LITHIUM-ION BATTERY SENSORS SOLUTIONS

Our sensing solution are designed both for Lithium-ion battery packs in electric and hybrid vehicles as well as Lithium-ion battery modules in battery energy storage systems (BESS), micro-mobility lithium-ion battery packs including two and three wheeled vehicles and portable and mobile lithium-ion battery packs including electric lawn mowers, medical devices, campsite battery generators.

                         

BES Series - EV Sensor Solution

The Battery Electrolyte Sensor (BES) provides early and reliable detection of thermal runaway of lithium-ion batteries used in electric vehicles. Sensitive to battery electrolyte vapor, the BES sensor detects thermal runaway at the crucial first vent stage, enabling prevention. This early detection capability of the sensor enables vehicle to meet international safety regulations such as UN GTR 20, China GB38031 & US NHTSA FMVSS 305A.

BES LITE Series - Non-EV Sensor Solution

The BES LITE, available in flange-mount and board-mount versions, detects battery electrolyte vapor that is typically released during the “First Vent” event of a lithium-ion cell and throughout the thermal runaway process. This event has been observed to occur 5 to 15 minutes prior to single cell thermal runaway. Detecting thermal runaway early can help mitigate the loss of life, property, and assets when the right countermeasures are implemented.

BAS Series - EV Sensor Solution

The BAS Series uses light scattering principle to detect particulate matter in battery packs of electric vehicles and energy storage systems (ESS).
