Earth fault detector for monitoring the SELV constant voltage network of the call system for earth faults and hazardous third-party voltages, due to, inter alia, isolation faults and faulty wiring. Implementation as an integral part of a medical-electrical system, in order to ensure the protection of patients from hazardous leakage currents.
Installation of the earth fault detector in conjunction with the single-phase network device (5/10 A) for constant monitoring of the safe supply of the call systems in accordance with SELV standard (2xMOPP).
Status display of the device via LED displays: Operation and fault. To fulfil the requirements of DIN VDE 0834-1: 2016-06 to a distributed SELV installation, the fault message is issued by the integrated relay contact (change-over) until the fault is rectified. Connection to a Hazard Management System required, as well as the initiation of escalation routines for restoring uninterrupted operation of the call system. Simulation of the earth fault by operating the integrated test button.
Setting of the trigger threshold in eight levels via coding switch from 48-480k Ohm: i.e. a leakage current of between 50 µA and 500 µA.
